  • Please help me with my NT box..

The problem I am having is that I can't get a Diamond SupraMax winmodem working in NT. It won't allow me to load the TCP/IP protocol under Network Neighborhood.
I get these errors after it finishes reading files from the NT CD...

    Registry SubKey already exists

Unable to remove Name Space Provider

    Now what do I do???

    I just installed SP5.

What hardware do you have installed already? How long ago did you install NT (not a service pack, the actual OS)?

The OS has only been on for a couple months. Here is a list of the hardware:

      Celeron 433 PPGA
      Abit ZM6
      64mb Generic PC100 SDRAM
      Diamond Viper 330 agp 4mb
      Ovislink "Realtek" 10/100 NIC
      Some cheap-ass, no-name sound card..I don't remember the name..
WD 20 gb HD partitioned into 3 gb and 17 gb for dual boot (don't have the second OS on. NT is on the 17gb partition)
      Afreey 50x CD-ROM
      Diamond SupraMax 56k modem

The OS sees the modem, it just won't allow me to load the TCP/IP protocols...

      thanks
