Whats the best ram/cooler for p3 system?

i've just done a large upgrade recently and i've only got two items left to buy(please let this be the last, this is getting too damn expensive), ram & cooler. so i put this to all of you that a reading this, which is the best ram for my system & what is the best cooler. i've done some looking around and i think i'll go with a swiftech peltier mc370-4 unless anyone has any alternatives. also i've heard good things about mushkin ram. in this area i was hoping to get something that runs better than a 133 frequency, preferably stable at 140-150. the reason i ask this is there seem to be very little in the way of articles or comparisons on the two anywhere. so if anyone has a similar system with good ram & a cooler, some advice would be appreciated.

My favorite RAM is Crucial's PC133 -7E stuff.

I just bought 2 sticks of the 7E stuff from Crucial and am very happy with it. I haven't had much luck overclocking but it's certainly not the memory. I've seen reports of the 7E going up to 140-150.

Ditto on the Crucial (Micron) "7E" mem. I have two sticks myself. Rags had tested his 550E with 7E mem and had it running at 165mHz with a 2 2 2 setting!

hey Greebe,
are those versions able to be modified for use on the fc-pga chips? My MC-1000 doesn't seem like it would fit very well

also, I think that version has the same size peltier as the slot1 versions and it has a copper heatsink

And, Cancer, if you get the Crucial 7E (not the 7.5; you want to make absolutely sure it's the 7E), wait until you see what it does to your Sandra memory benchmarks on that P3V4X. You are in for a very pleasant surprize.

If you're running that 550E on a 133 MHz FSB, set your CPU/Memory Ratio to 1/1 and have SPD assign your timings.

thanks guys for the input, so i guess the Crucial (Micron) "PC133 - 7E" ram is the go, i gather that is cas2 stuff? just one other question, does anyone know a good retail site that sell this ram at a good price, trying to find good ram down in oz can be a little thin on the ground and not that cheap if you know what i mean. i'd be interested in what rags has to say about his test on his crucial stuff.
just on a side note, Greebe i don't think that version of swiftech's cooler will fit my cpu as i have a fc pga p3 chip on a slot 1 adaptor. and DuRaNgO i gather when you say "...and that peltier is the balls", this is a good thing?... lol.

Cancer, I sent Gabreil an email about your ???'s so I'll quote him...

"Currently, only the 370's work with FC-PGA, which are quite powerful solutions particularly in case of the MC370-3 OR MC370-4.

As far as slot one coolers are concerned, I am waiting for Asus to release their S370-133
slotket, which hopefully will make our entire production backwards compatible since we already have the Asus S370 drill pattern already in all the MC1000's we have shipped."
