Attn! Aopen m/board owners

Don't know if anyone has posted on this yet but Aopen have an news article on their web site saying that some batches of the Aopen bonus pack CD's supplied with their m/boards were infected with the W95.CIH, v1.2 virus. Check http://www.aopen.nl/company/news/2000/antivirus.htm for more info.

So far, so good. It's kind of ironic that the packaging has the word "Anti-virus" so prominently displayed, not to mention Peter Norton's picture.

The CD was shipped in April of last year, and AOpen is claiming there was no way to detect the virus at the time. I'm a little suspicious of this claim, as this was a rather well-known virus, set to go off in April. Why it took AOpen *a year* to bring this to the public's attention is a little mysterious as well.
