  • F9: NASA, USAF and reusing rockets

NasaSpaceFlight reports that pending NASA front office approval, on December 4th 2017 Dragon CRS-13 will fly on a Flight Provenâ„¢ booster (CRS-11). The tech reviewers green lighted it.

The USAF review is ongoing, but the commander of the Space Command is all-in to fly reusable rockets.

They're also high on SpaceX's Autonomous Flight Safety System which reduces the range's staffing for a launch by almost 100 people. No need for radars, no need for guys on big red buttons to terminate the flight. ULA is not using AFSS yet, and won't be for at least 2-3 years.
