  • MSI BXMaster and PC133 SDRAM

I got myself an MSI BXMaster and have an Apacer PC133 128MB SDRAM DIMM with Infineon chips, CAS2.

When I try to boot at 100MHz FSB it stucks after displaying the CPU type, and according to the D-LED during Base/Extended RAM check.
Occassionally it does succeed to boot after many RESETs, but very rarely. When I set the FSB to 66MHz or 133MHz everything works just fine, didn't get stuck at boot even once.
Speeds beetween 100 and 133 act the same as 100. Speeds above 133 seem to have no such problems, didn't check between 66 and 100.

Now, not that I'm really complaining, 'coz everything seems to be very stable at 133MHz, with P3-550E@733MHz and G400-MAX@89MHz AGP2X enabled. But still, I wouldn't like the CPU and the MAX to get hot when I don't need it...

so does anybody have any idea why is this happening? I tried upgrading the BIOS (to v5.1), no change...

or else the mobo and memory don't go well with each other.
