  • Is anyone running a BP6 w/G400 OEM and AGP 1/1 at 96MHz FSB?

I am considering trying to run my G400 OEM DH at 96MHz on a BP6. Has anyone done this? I believe I have read a thread talking about 1/1 at like 95MHz or so, but I am curious if an adventorous BP6 and G400 (non Max) owner has tried this already.

    Thanks!

Surely the first response to your query is why?

From your sig i see you are running dual 366 @ 550 the same as me. Why do you want to drop the FSB to 96?

For the record it can be done. I ran my g400 in my old BX6r2 @ 450 with a 1/1 agp ratio with no problems.

I modified my profile. I am actually running just 96MHz after using BXBURN to verify what FSB I am really stable at. I did not even attempt to run 1/1 AGP at 100MHz FSB, but thought about now that I am running 96MHz FSB.

I am going to try it out. I assume the video will be flaky, as opposed to burning the card out if the AGP clock is too high. I do have two 90mm fans inside my huge server case suppyling a cooling air flow to the Matrox so hopefully I will be OK.
