  • S3 puts up their chips

Read this morning that S3 is looking to get out of the graphics chip business (wasn't someone just discussing graphics board manufacturers who develop their own chips?). Saw "S3 in Discussions Regarding Graphics Business" at their web site.

Considering the fiasco with the Savage2000 not delivering what they hyped up, and the fact that they cannot make T&L work in their chips in their current state I would jump ship too. It's too bad though the Savage2000 could have been interesting, but just like 3DFX, ATI, and Nvidia they cannot live up to their word. At least Matrox doesn't promise much of anything these days
