Well everything else works bar this.
    This is the error msg

"Error on Request to space backward by File marks Hardware failure"

Is anyone else using this drive in Windows 2000? I've looked at Seagates page and haven't found anything.

I've tried the drive on the motherboards own ide channels and still the same effect. tried older drivers but then the media isn't detected. The drive works fine in 98. The Tape itself is okay.

    Strange but true.
Now I've got to check wether it will do a re-install.
