the law is an ass...when a statute trumps reality it must be obvious something is horrible wrong. -
On the plus side, they can't force a "dead man" to pay back $25,000 in back child support!

I think the problem is that his ex might have to pay back many years of SSA survivors benefits paid to her kids if he is declared alive by Ohio since his statutory declaration of death by Ohio was what lead to the payments.
Or something like that.
