The Hobbit Movie

OK, I'll start.
Grade-> A-
There was a bit added to the book story, but all in all much fun and looking forward to the next installment.
Appropriately light touch compared to the Rings, just like the books.
Hat tip to the Dwarvish songs because the book is so full of them. Though, I am pretty much tone deaf to poetry and just skipped over them in the books.

Haven't seen it yet, but I hear the pacing is slow. Excited to see it next weekend.

Yes, quite slow at times. Like savoring fine wine, or boring. I guess depending on your view.

I actually enjoyed it, brighter than LOTR for sure. Music and scenery are incredible. Cinematography as usual is amazing.
