  • GM & Chrysler: NG trucks

    Problem:

if, as the graphic indicates, about 40% of the bed will be used for the tanks just how do they expect commercial users to justify buying them? 2 trips/trucks per previous single load is stupid.

    You mean NBG trucks?

What we here would call CNG: compressed natural gas with a bi-fuel (gasoline) capability. There are gas stations here that have NG pumps, but mostly they refuel converted municipal vehicles.

I don't think you got it; NBG is Brit for No Bloody Good!

Not an acronym used on this side of the pond.

That said, your sentiment is correct - the load volume of a compact pickup truck with a much higher cost, a probable reduced max load weight and reduced fuel availability vs. a gas/diesel fueled full size like the F-15 or RAM 2500. NBG indeed.

We have a bunch of CNG buses operating here, apparently they work quite well?

A lot of natural gas taxi's in Bangkok.
Don't see much of it here.
Its pretty rare to see a lpg pump anywhere local. I don't remember having seen even one.
              Haven't looked either
