    We would probably call it monochromatic HDR - they use a 2x3 grid of high speed B&W cameras each set to a different exposure to see the details of a solid fuel rocket engine plume. in this case STS-134 - the next to last shuttle mission. Cool.

    Imaging experts funded by the Space Shuttle Program and located at NASA's Ames Research Center prepared this video by merging nearly 20,000 photographs taken...
