  • (NSFW) Go the F**k to Sleep - read by Samuel L. Jackson

For all of us who have ever struggled to get the kid(s) to sleep.

Audio book read by Samuel L. Jackson of the children's book Go the F**k to Sleep, by Adam Mansbach, with illustrations by Ricardo Cortés. Enjoy

This is a real book by the way. Written by a father who got tired of fighting with his daughter for two hours every night to get to bed.

    EDIT: Updated link.

trust me, I have been there.. and just preparing for the battle with my now 2 year old. The 4 year old does go to sleep now, but for a year and a half, she was impossible

Apparently, I was also quite impossible when it came to going to sleep... but things turned well ok... I think...

My kids have gotten bad now that school is out for the summer. My wife and I were laughing so hard there were tears.

With Kurt, the oldest & now 33, we considered barring his window because he'd crawl out & watch TV through the front window, and putting a hook & eye on his door

Of course this is the kid who tightrope-walked across the top rail of the swing set at 3, then a month later he snuck away from mom & scooted up the ladder to the roof of the house while I was repairing an antenna.

              Damned little orangutan

All ended well; by high school he was US Navy ROTC

Our two (and a half) year old is definitely one of those who likes to push the boundaries of what could be considered a reasonable bedtime.

I remember when I was younger, we lived on a military base, and I would sneak out my window and go exploring the base at night. It was a game dodging the MP and SP patrols.
