  • Damn Printer

Another problem, after having my Computer for about 3 months I upgraded the drivers for my Printer (Epson Stylus Colour 640)

Ever since whenever I use my Printer the Power light on my computer flashes and the speaker beeps like mad (about as annoying as smoke alarms going off in the night when there is no fire).

I put the old drivers back on, but no difference. I then got ASUS PCProbe for my MOBO, an according to that the temperates and voltages madly fluctuate to extreme levels.
Eg, CPU goes from 40C to 120C then to 10C, to -8C. Motherboard temperature sensor does the same, and the voltages go from +12V to +16V and back..

Whats up, bare in mind I also use a Parallel Port Scanner which doesn't cause problems.

Also none of these strange goings on cause Crashes or anything.

    Is my motherboard bust??

So have you tried using the printer without the scanner hooked up?? does it do it with or without the scanner?

I get it with or without the scanner connected.

I ONLy get this problem when using the Printer, not scanner, they both use Parallel Port..

Oh and I forgot to mention my floppy drive causes the same problem!!
