Where does the mutt fit in this list?

The AKC only keeps track of purebreds. Same with the UKC, which leans more towards working dogs.

Intentional mixed-breed and mutt (field mix) dogs make up the majority of pet dogs in the US, with the Labrador-German Shepard mix being one of the most popular. Other examples of intentional mixes are the Peekapoo (Pekingese & Poodle), Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel & Poodle), Alaskan Husky (various nortbern dog types purpose-mixed) and less commonly the Greyster (Pointer & Greyhound.)

AMBOR (American Mixed Breed Obedience Registry) and MBDCA (Mixed Breed Dog Clubs of America) are sport & obedience registries for mixes.
