ABC is developing Marvel's "AKA Jessica Jones" for TV.
It will be produced by former Dexter executive producer Melissa Rosenberg, and is set for a fall 2011 run.
Aliases: Jewel, Knightress
Powers: flight, strength, resistance to injury - though not invulnerable
A classmate of Peter Parker (Spider-Man) and has a huge crush on Johnny Storm (Torch), she was involved in an accident that killed her parents and brought out her powers.
She becomes a marginal superheroine, and eventually retires to open a detective agency: Alias. Given her background she is sought out by clients with superhero connections. Despite her wishes to leave the superhero life, she finds herself repeatedly drawn back into it.
Eventually she joins the New Avengers
