Raven/Rachel Roth is a half-human/half-demon superheroine in the DC comics universe who came to Earth from another dimension at age 16. She's an empath who can teleport and control her "soul-self," which can both fight physically and act as Raven's eyes & ears away from her body.
In her home dimension Raven was taught to control her emotions in order to suppress her demonic powers because it was feared that if Raven was allowed to feel any strong emotion, she could become a demon like her father. Every now and then, she slips. Bigtime.
