  • overclocking help please

Hi, picked up a Celeron 366 today. Theory was to up it to 550. Then reality put in an appearance. It posts fine at 2.0v but won't boot into Win98. At 2.2v it'll boot into windows but crash right away. I've got a decent size heatsink on the chip along with an application of thermal compound. Would a bigger heatsink be worth the effort, GlobalWin FEP 32 for example. Any other ideas? One other question, how reliable are PCI cards when the bus is something other then 33mhz?

    thanks

    Rick

Well.... If you can get it to 100 FSB your PCI would be at 33, so you shouldnty have any problems with PCI bus speeds. nOw your the Heatsink. I would say get a larger heatsink and try to increase the airflow in the case.
