Please tell me how to install it correctly. I tried but have messed it
up. I am a beginner on win2000. I have installed software programs ok but this is my first hardware driver.
      Thank you

Ok I have the creative playcenter working now. My problem was I had only installed the software and not the hardware. After installing PlayCenter it said there was no sblive. To fix this I went to hardware, device manager, then the creative sblive and installed the new wdl10k1.inf from there. I have the full original sblive but now it reports sblive value (this might be ok though).
        Any other tips?
        Thanks

Thanks jediphoenix and Hunsow for posting the driver location. Everything is working fine for me, digital out back again (it didn't work in win2000 before).

I think someones taking the mick, surely drivers for a sound card can't require 90Mb's worth of files! By the time you've unzipped them you nearly land up using as much disk space as Windows 2000 itself, or am I missing something somewhere?

You can't always get what you want, but if you try some times you just might find you get what you need.

                Taz,

there are a lot of midi and .wav samples included with that download.

                Gurm,

could you be more specific...i have the liveware 3.0 cd and the latest win98 driver set from the web. i'd love to get the full liveware functionality but i don't feel like crashing win2k just yet while i experiment.
