  • Free Beer Solution Increased Download Speed

I had free beer on IRQ11 with my NIC, SCSI card and Video card. Moving the NIC to IRQ 9 and the SCSI card to IRQ 10 increased my download speed off of a T1 line from 100 KB/sec to 450 KB/sec with no other changes. The maximum download speed may be faster than that.

Then you'd h8 me more, Denty.
        I usually get around 400kb/s. From a good site, I can get 700+kB. I'll get 900kB if it's on-campus

Free beer doesn't make downloading any faster, it just makes your brain slower so it seems like it is faster.
