    A Swedish man who was caught by Swiss police driving at 290km/h is facing a world-record speeding fine of SFr1.08m ($1m; £656,000).

    Strange that all websites depict it as a new record... I thought this would beat it...

    I can't understand why people with so much money just don't go out and rent a track... ? With a couple of those guys, I can imagine they could have some (safe) fun.

      Yup, but this one is the fine, not the value of the car (not that the Swede's car is exactly worthless, either)!
