  • AOpen AX63Pro @ 133MHz and HDs

I upgraded my 'puter with the following stuff :
    AOpen AX63Pro, P3-550E + Slot adapter, 3DFXCOOL Alpha7HO Cooler and a 128MB PC133 CAS2 DIMM from Apacer.

Of course, I bought all this with massive overclocking in mind. My other stuff, includes Matrox G400 MAX, IBM 7200RPM 22GB HD
    and some other goodies.

I immediately started testing the overclocking ability of this setup.

With jumpers at the default position (1/3 PCI and 2/3 AGP) no stability problems at all
    FSB speeds, including 124MHz.

Then I switched the jumpers to 133MHz operation (1/4 PCI and 1/2 AGP dividers).
Win98SE loads up and finds some problem with its registry. Reboot. The same problem persists.
Tried to lower the SDRAM clock speed, didn't help. Tried to set the FSB to 126MHz. Solved the problem.
Changed to 133MHz again - the same problem.
Changed to 144MHz - Sector Not Found reading drive C!!!

Whoopsie... looks like the HD is having some trouble with 133+MHz bus. This is weird, 'coz previously with 124MHz FSB, the PCI was supposed to be 124/3 = 41.3MHz, and it worked just fine.
Now with 133MHz the PCI is supposed to be 33MHz, just like with 100MHz FSB, and it doesn't work... WEIRD!!!
Looks like somebody didn't set the PCI divider right.

Did anybody run into the same problem with a similar system?? Please help!
Also, is there any util the reports the correct PCI bus speed??
