    Should my SBlive be putting out sound on the rear channel? I have selected Quad in multimedia ,but ,no joy .......

    Don't think 4 speaker out is supported yet. Check the thread further down named "Win2k RTM and Sb Live Sooo Silent". It has some relevant info about this and future drivers.

        Yup, Philipp from NT Compatible dropped us a line on the updated HOWTO to get those naughty Liveware 3 drivers to work under Windows 2000. Included in the documentation is how to setup the 4-pt speakers, EAX as well as soundfonts. You can download them from here.

            I would not install the hack either. Win2k comes out (officially) on the 17 Feb, Creative will hopefully <crossing fingers> have the full Win2k Liveware drivers out by then.
