    For me Virgin Media UK (cable modem)

    Summary of Noteworthy Events –

    Major Abnormalities Your DNS resolver returns results even when no such server exists

    Minor Aberrations Certain TCP protocols are blocked in outbound traffic

    Direct TCP access to remote RPC servers (port 135) is blocked.
    Direct TCP access to remote NetBIOS servers (port 139) is blocked.
    Direct TCP access to remote SMB servers (port 445) is blocked.

    Network packet buffering may be excessive

    Network buffer measurements (?): Uplink 1200 ms, Downlink 290 ms

    My noteworthy results:

    Minor Aberrations

    * Certain TCP protocols are blocked in outbound traffic
    * Network packet buffering may be excessive
    * Virus filtering appears to be present on your host or network

    Direct TCP access to remote RPC servers (port 135) is blocked.

        yeah, kapersky did too because of the test file downloaded - it was a false positive according to virus.com and expected.

          Nice test!
          For some odd reason, my network did not allow some of the timing tests (but maybe because it is a 3G connection).

              Is anyone able to test on a business grade/ fiber internet connection to see if they also have a large uplink buffers?

              @Sitflyer What sort of connection do you have? DSL / Cable etc.

                I'm not sure what our connection is (university), but it is fast:

                This is what the test gives:
                Network Access Link Properties –
                Network latency measurements (?): Latency: 110ms Loss: 0.0%
                The round-trip time (RTT) between your computer and our server is 110 msec, which is good.
                We recorded no packet loss between your system and our server.
                TCP connection setup latency (?): 120ms
                The time it takes your computer to set up a TCP connection with our server is 120 msec, which is good.
                Network background health measurement (?): no transient outages
                During most of Netalyzr's execution, the applet continuously measures the state of the network in the background, looking for short outages. During testing, the applet observed no such outages.
                Network bandwidth measurements (?): Upload >20 Mbit/sec, Download >20 Mbit/sec
                Your Uplink: We measured your uplink's sending bandwidth at >20 Mbit/sec. This level of bandwidth works well for many users.
                During this test, the applet observed 9 reordered packets.
                Your Downlink: We measured your downlink's receiving bandwidth at >20 Mbit/sec. This level of bandwidth works well for many users.
                Network buffer measurements (?): Uplink is good, Downlink is good
                We were not able to produce enough traffic to load the uplink buffer, or the uplink buffer is particularly small. You probably have excellent behavior when uploading files and attempting to do other tasks.

                So apperently, the uplink buffer is very small...

                  Work ADSL line, but its a bog standard connection, not a pro one or anything....

                      How can you tell it is OC-12? Is it just by the speed (there could be some traffic shaper...)?
