  • Bad memory cause DNS resolution to break!

I while ago i had a 128MB stick that was giving up!
At the time i got numerous BSOD's
But the weirdest was that i couldent reach websites when using "WWW.XX.XX".
    Ip numbers worked.
Pinging with www... worked (thats where i got the IP numbers)
More and more sites droped avay ever day.

In pure desperation i reinstalled and the problem went away.

The problem resurfased the next day.
the day after that the 128MB stick wouldent boot so i replaced it.

AND ALL problems went away permanently.

    The question is:

Why did the bad memory kill DNS names?

Could be that the address location where that info was being stored was getting corrupted.

      Found out why!
      My 128 cas3 stick didn't like my 64 cas2 stick.
Replaced them both with new Cas 2 Sticks!
      Now it works!
