    Help

I have just installed my 500e PC-PGA in a IWill Slocket2, into my A-Trend 6240 V2 board i can get it to run @500, if i take the FSB up to 133 etc it will load windows all ok, but if you try and install software from a CD ie Unreal Tournament it will crash half way thru, with all sorts of graphical problems, i have no way of adjusting the AGP clock so , is this the problem?. Should i invest in a new board, and if so whats the best for CUMines?

    Thanks

    Joe

Have you upped the CAS for the memory? Try it and see if it helps stabalize the memory.

Also, is the slotket set into fc-PGA mode and not s370 mode?
Aparently this makes a big difference

I think it is the card that comes with the slocket says that Jumper 8 needs to be set to 2-3, its all very confusing!!.
I have the chip running @620 124 FSB, but games, and loading windows seems slower than my Celery 400@500, weird, i am thinking of buying a ABIT BE6 2 board as i have good stories about this board, also when i try and put a extra 64mb PC100 to take it up to 128, i get memory errors.

Not Sure what the jumper setting should be for the Slocket2, anyone out there, that can help me
