  • How can I free up some memory?

I recently bought another 128 mb ram to total 256, I dropped my swap file down to 150 and it seems to be ok there and I installed cacheman and have memturbo, on a fresh reboot I have about 150 mb of free physical ram, thats just over half so where is the rest. I play a game or two on mplayer and soon i'm down to 15mb in a few hours. Is there a program that will tell me whats using all my memory?I never really had any leak problems I knew of and I have nothing running when I ctrl alt Del except systray, explorer and memturbo sometimes. I appreciate it, thanks

I'm not saying that you have no leaks, but most of that memory is probably just being taken up as HD cache. That's usually what you want, and the OS should be smart enough to free it if something more important comes along.
