  • camcorders shooting 60p

I'm starting to hear about camcorders that natively shoot 60p. Other than being able to grab an awesome still shot from the video or doing some incredible super slo-mo, what are the obvious benefits of such a mode?

Would the quality be that much better than native 30p or 60i with pulldown removed to get 30p?

Are there even any HDTV screens designed to take advantage of that many frames crammed into 1 second of video?

Would 60p be easily convertible to 30p or 24p? I know there are plenty of packages designed to deinterlace, but such a conversion is not deinterlacing, so what is it?
