  • Windows98 Shutdown problems

Im running with a K62 300mhz and a G400. Whenever I try to shutdown/restart or anything like that. I get a BSOD. Any idea on how I could fix this? I got the latest drivers for the G400. Im my IRQ list it shows
11: IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
    11: Matrox Millenium G400 -English
11: IRQ Holder for PCI Steering

Any info on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks,

Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

With 2 pci holders showing there is the possibilty of a ghost device, check in safemode and make sure there is only one display adapter listed.
As stated if you're using win98se get the patch, which should cure it.
Some anti-virus programs can cause this as well, check that out.
Make sure you've installed the latest drivers for your motherboard as well.
