  • Win2000 DVD Region problems

Does anyone know if the Win2000 120 day limited version was distributed outside the US. I set the DVD region with Win2k to region 2 and it is acting like it's set up as region 1..I only get to the copywright section on all my DVDs then it just stops!

I have checked under device manager>drive>properties and it is noted as region 2! Data DVD's work fine!

If this is the problem, anyone know how to change it. Has anyone played region 2-6 DVD's in WIn2000 RTC version?

    Thanks,

    Brian Eastwood!

    I use PowerDVD, works fine.

Strangely enough WinDVD 2000 just doesn't work on my primary system (in Win2k, Win98 works). I have no idea why, as it works on my second system and there are many similarities between the two.

Mmmm..Power DVD 2.55 works a lot better.>It plays perfect when left alone!! Although when I start playing around with the nav controls, it resets the machine!! I only ever use the play and exit button on a DVD player anyway! Unless I need to capture some zoomed in frooze'n shots

      Thanks!

(Roll on Matrox/cinemaster with our updated long loved player!)
