  • OMG - it's starting

    So....nice warm, sunny day and Erik (soon to turn 11) takes his skateboard out for a few turns up/down the block.

    When he returns Margie asks him how it went, to which he replied;

    "Great...I was trying to impress these three girls....."

    Sounds like a scene straight from Calvin and Hobbes! Well, good for him I'd say... maybe less so for you guys, but still.

    Did it work...?

        Sounds like he's as big a charmer as my old friend Steve was. Better keep a close eye on that boy.

          Here's the boy a few weeks ago showing off his spelling bee trophy etc....but cut off because his name/school/city etc. show on the certificate & such. Not smart to put that up to the net these days.

          Margie & the daughter in laws say he's a cutie who looks a bit like Harry Potter and that it helps. You judge. He's 5' tall at 11 and already over 100 lbs & getting muscular. Wants to go out for track next fall.

            He looks like a little John Carmack. Yeah, I know, geek reference for you.

              Calvin would never admit to trying to impress girls.
