  • Bfg Gtx 280 Oc $320 Cad

Wow! That's about half the price it was when it debuted. And I think $10 more than I paid for my GTX 260-216.

not a bad price for that card, but still more than I am willing to spend on a card right now.. for starters, I don't have any games which require more speed than the HD3870X2 delivers, and I don't have much time to play on the computer anymore either

I just got an MSI overclocked ATi 4830 512 MB card. $89 after a $30 MIR. Not bad at all since it's performance is very close to the 4850, which is $40 more. People have been getting the clock on this particular model to 650-700 MHz which puts it on par with the stock 4850.

My next monitor will most likely be a 24" running 1920x1080 (or 1200) so an upgrade from even my very powerful (and murc 3dmark06 record holding) GTX 260 would be nice.
I think by that time I would be looking at the GTX 300 series though.

Over the last 6 years or so I think I've upgraded my GPU about 6 times, and the rest 3 times. Yikes.

        GTX 260

I spent the most on the 5900ultra, and even that I got used from my brother. I paid 400 I think, it was 600 new.

        And went from:
        P4 2.0
        P4 3.0 HT
        Q9450

I think I've discovered where all my money goes...

The 280 becomes harder to find here, in favour of the 285...
In one store (which doesn't list the 285), the Asus ENGTX280/HTDP NVIDIA Geforce GTX 280 1024 MB costs 461 euros, and the BFG GTX280 OverClocked NVIDIA Geforce GTX 280 1024 MB is listed at 393 euro...
However, in another which doesn't list the 280, the 285 (ASUS nVidia GTX285 1GB DDR3) costs 399 euros...
