  • Scandanavian fireball

    Video link.... (page in Swedish)....

    from spaceweather.com

A meteoroid of unknown size hit Earth's atmosphere over Scandinavia on Jan. 17th (1909 UT) and disintegrated in a thunderous explosion. The fireball was so bright it turned the nighttime sky blue.

The movie above was recorded by an automated video camera belonging to Roger Svensson in Sweden.

Well, then the papers have atleast stopped screaming "UFO UFO"

and I didnt see it, I'm a bit more north

One the other hand I wouldn't have seen it if it had come down outside my window, always got the shutters closed and since we have a large army training field out here I don't think I would have reacted either

Most of the time it sounds like the military are hunting Godzilla
