Removing overscan while watching DVD!

When I watch a DVD using DVD-Max option my damn Sony TV is losing 1" each side of the picture though overscan.

Question is, can I adjust the amount of overscan on my Sony KV-25 TV (UK model)?

I can't even get into service mode :-(
I can't find a service switch/button anywhere on the TV, and none of the remote sequences I've found on the net work with my TV.

I'll just have to keep looking I guess.
If anyone comes across this info my TV is a UK Sony model KV-25K5U
