  • Good old overclocking problems.

Currently I am running my P2 400@533Mhz but have lockups in q3a and other games which is very anoying when you for excample are playing against Xerox on the final q3a map(hardcore). My guess is that my card doesn`t like an 89Mhz AGP bus or is it something else?I am going to borrow another G400 card and test if that card works.

    Pentium II 400@533 2.0 V
    Gigabyte GA-6BXE
    128 Mb PC133
    IBM Deskstar 22GXP 22GB
Matrox Millennium G400 Max (162Mhz core and 216Mhz mem)
    SoundBlaster AWE 32
    5.41
    drivers

Bump up your core voltage on your cpu and or drop down the OCing on ur Max a tad. See if that helps.

thanks but there is one little problem with raising the core voltage. It cant`t be done with this motherboard but I am runnig the Max at deaufault speed now but it dosen`t seem to help. Lowering the CPU speed to 448 Mhz helps. The thing is that running Prime95 for some hours at 533Mhz works but 3d games don`t. I will test the processor and the Max card on another computer tomorrow, I hope.
