Thinking about a trip, need suggestions!

I'm thinking about taking a trip, maybe next summer/fall. Most I would spend would be about 3k. Time and money really depends on what kind of a job I get after I graduate. Any recommendations? I am open to almost any suggestion.

I would like to get out of North America.

Eastern Europe? Japan? Australia? South America?
