    A buddy of mine is looking for a desk like this:



    Anyone know where to get one? He lives in Northeastern Ontario somewhere...
    Q9450 + TRUE, G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2, GTX 560, ASUS X48, 1TB WD Black, Windows 7 64-bit, LG M2762D-PM 27" + 17" LG 1752TX, Corsair HX620, Antec P182, Logitech G5 (Blue)

      Yeah I've seen something similar in Ikea (not to such a degree) - one of variants of Jerker desks, I believe.

      Though I checked on their webpage and they aren't available anymore...

      (they came to conclusion that such shape isn't necessary when LCD monitors gave us lots of space and low weight to change position, with such cut getting in the way?)

          I think you'll find the cut-away is more to accommodate the gut of your average programmer

            I'd glue up an oak or birch plywood panel, take the band saw & spindle sander to it, apply matching laminate to the edges, spray with water based 2-part flooring finish (extremely durable & dries fast) then make a base for it. A few hours tops.
