  • Cordless mice...

For those of you looking for a new mouse but aren't sure if you like the Intellimouse Explorer or that whole laser thing, the Cordless Wheelmouse from Microshaft is the way to go. I picked one up at Best Buy for $40 (probably cheaper elsewhere) and it rocks! Much better shape and feel then the Intellimouse Explorer and there was no detectable lag. Just played a game of Quake 3 Arena and it was great for my quick twitch style of play (The Intellimouse Explorer was not up to the task when I played this way with it). As much as we all hate Microshaft, their peripherals rock! Just thought I would let y'all in on a great mouse...

    Jon,
I agree, the cordless mouse is fantastic, but its made by Logitech - not Microsoft. Microsoft makes the slow Intellimouse with the laser.
I have a Logitech Cordless Wheel mouse and I agree that there is no lag at all. I'm spoiled. Never again will I buy a mouse with a cord.

      RAB,

I'm pretty sure the letters "M-I-C-R-O-S-O-F-T" spell Microsoft, not Logitech. It's written all over the mouse. An illustrated version can be seen at http://www.microsoft.com/mouse/cordless.htm. But you are right, Logitech's cordless mouse came out first. I'm sure both are very good mice.

Sorry, I have not seen the Microsoft cordless yet. Since Wheelmouse is a Logitech trademark, I thought you had confused them. I wonder if Logitech has the guts to sue Microsoft over a trademark.

Anyway, thanks for setting me straight. My mistake.
