My Sony WV-DR5 DV deck just kicked the bucket

So sad after at least 8 years of service, the Mini DV tape mechanism is chewing up tapes and making loud noises when FF or REW, also drops frames during playback as a result.

Now, I cannot afford another $1,600 for another DV deck, any suggestions where I can pick up a cheap working SONY DHR-1000 or another WV-DR5 or 7 somewhere?

OK I decided to buy the Canon HV30 camcorder and use it and my XL-1 to capture as well.

Any last minute comments?

I have a WV-DR5 that is about 3 years old and has about 5 hours of use. Might be willing to part with it as it is currently sitting in the closet.
