  • Greetings from beautiful downtown Corvallis, Oregon

One of my contractors, Barrister Global, flew me out here (all expences paid!) for training at the local HP facility on their new line of retail photo kiosks.

One of the big features is their new 'minilab,' a self contained digital photo processing unit which cranks out archival quality prints in five seconds. It's quite impressive.

My classmates are seven other geeks and a Barrister call center tech who's going to be taking all our support calls. We asked him for his direct line number so we wouldn't have to wait in the phone queue forever. Unfortunately they won't tell him his direct phone number.

Today I suggested to the rest of the class that we should all pile into a car, drive over to Redmond, walk into Microsoft's headquarters, and demand to see Bill because "that son-of-a-bitch owes us money!"

Ah the HP trips. We got bussed to Croatia/Bosnia with all expenses and booze on HP last year. It was the best partying in a long time with the bunch of random IT guys and girls.
