  • What's causing these email problems?

A SBS2K3 system has been running just fine for a couple of years now. Email is configured to fetch from a host by pop3 every 15 minutes. Email is sent via the BT account assocaited with the broadband service. A few weeks ago I started to see a lot of these errors in the daily reports:

An error occurred during a POP3 transaction to server <pop.XXX.net [privmary]>. The error is 10060 (A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. ).
I also see a lot of 10061 errors (connection actively refused). The host has been informed but there's no change.

Now for the last few days we've been getting a lot of bounces, e.g.:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Any advice please? This is getting quite worrying.
