      I've got that card, it's okay.

      They've had 3 revisions of it. The first one had a heatpipe design. The second one had a full-slot fan cooler - *Loud* as hell, and always on 100%. That's the version I got.

      I just recently RMAed it, and got the 3rd revision, with the heatpipe, and some RAM sinks. I don't know if it adjusts fan speed or not, but it's 10x quieter than the one I started with. I don't know if NCIX is only selling that version now or not, but back when I got mine it was a pot shot.

      Also, my $20 rebate was denied.

      NCIX's return policy isn't all that great. In the same position, I'd pay $180 for a card from a known company, and a retailer with a good return policy.
      Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

        Bought (locally) a Palit 9600gt sonic for ~250 USD. It's about as powerful as an 8800gt and all I can say is WOW! (upgraded form a 6600LE on my wife's computer).
