  • CPU upgrade advice!!!!!

I have nearly £600 to spend for the next 4 months and i have't desided yet what to do about mu PII450.
The <<cheapest>> option wil ne to wait for the last slot1 100Mhz(440BX)cpu from Intel, the PIII800E Mhz,but it will be out on the end of 1Q '00 .
The <<Looking in the future>> option will be to buy a 840i mobo (ASUS always) and get a 700 Mhz PIII ...820i is out of question because resent information from Intel suggest that Intel WILL dumm the 820i because of the 2on rambus problem.(the 840i is pretty expensive by the way)

Ofcourse there is always the <<athlon>> option but AMD mobos are not so good as intel ones...(my opinion)
Any suggestions about what is the best and more <<valueformymoney>>option???????????????
