  • Upcoming Intel's (45nm)

Intel is adding to its 45nm lineup, and everything seems to be on track. Looks like I might have to get me a Q9450 in a few months.

edit: keep in mind those are priced in units of 1000.
    Q9450 + TRUE, G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2, GTX 560, ASUS X48, 1TB WD Black, Windows 7 64-bit, LG M2762D-PM 27" + 17" LG 1752TX, Corsair HX620, Antec P182, Logitech G5 (Blue)
    Laptop: MSI Wind - Black

    Possible pricing?? http://www.google.com/products?q=q9450&hl=en&show=dd

    Google is awesome
Seems like mid- 300's (USD) for the Q9450. Right in my price range
The Q9550 will be closer to 600

I hope the X48 (when it eventually comes out) can handle a high FSB. With just a 8x multiplier on the Q9450 you will really have to crank the FSB when overclocking. Gotta crank that cpu for Crysis!

Q9450 looks good, though my motherboard isn't stable over 450fsb. That means a max of 3.6 GHz overclock, makes me wonder if it's worth the trouble.

I don't even think I tax my dual core, so I will probably be happy for awhile.

On the upside, the Q6600 price might plummet.
