  • Voodoo4 is a wimp!

    Hi!
Voodooextreme has just posted the specs for the 3dfx VSA-100-based Voodoo4/5/6. What a wimp! Merely 166/183MHz for the single-chip card. And it's got just texture units. And it's as late as March 2000! Can you believe it?
    Asus A7V, Duron 600@900, 192MB PC133@100, G200, Guillemot MUSE, etc.

Sorry, I meant to say that it's got just 2 (TWO!!!) texture units. BTW, 3dfx Europe http://europe.3dfx.com/view.asp?IOID=418 has got the PR.

Well what did you expect from 3fdx, who are as arrogant as Intel in thinking that just because they may hold a bigger share of the market that they have nothing to fear.

Hmm.. to what exactly are you comparing those numbers to? Do yo already have a Voodoo 5 100MHz or what?
I mean, I just can't believe you are referring to those numbers as if they where comparable with any other product..

Yet, it is late. I'd hate to see them fall because of their last problems. In that the consumer is the one that looses.

              VooDoo 4 and 5 = 24bit Z-Buffer and available March 2000
              Hahahahahaha!!!

That's almost as funny as S3's T&l equiped Savage 2000 that will ship without suport for T&L. The T&L's in the mail.
