  • File types in Firefox

Okay this is probably the first time I've ever been frustrated with Firefox.

How the flip do you get it to open up java files (or any text file that isn't .txt) within Firefox!?!
Edit -> Preferences -> Content -> File Types -> Management
won't let me add new file types. When I add them by first downloading and saying, "save this action" there is no option to open within firefox.

If I say open with firefox it opens a new tab and asks me if i want to save or open with external app.

This is ridiculous. Why the hell can't I just say open this link as a text file.... yaargh!!!

Firefox detects what the host OS assigns to it.
