  • Cable Modem and Router issues

I just "upgraded" to a Linksys WTR150N Wireless router after bricking my old WTR54G router. The problem I'm running into with the router is that for some reason, after long periods of time (say 6-8 hours) I lose my connection to the internet. I have to shut down the cable modem, reboot it and then renew the IP address under my Routers setting to get it back. The other router didn't have any problems with this.

    Any suggestions?

First thing to check is if Linksys has posted any firmware updates on their website. I had a similar problem with my (very) early wired BFSR-41 router and it was 90% cured by the first firmware update. It was 100% cured once the modem was also replaced.

There's a beta firmware update in the European section of Linksys's website but nothing in the NA section :?
