  • Intel QX9650 quad 3ghz/1333fsb

    Tons of reviews for it out, same clock and fsb as the previous 65nm chip, but its 45nm and 12mb cache. ~10 degrees C cooler, and runs a little faster. Overclocks well too.
    Q9450 + TRUE, G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2, GTX 560, ASUS X48, 1TB WD Black, Windows 7 64-bit, LG M2762D-PM 27" + 17" LG 1752TX, Corsair HX620, Antec P182, Logitech G5 (Blue)
    Laptop: MSI Wind - Black

    Yup, so I guess if your going to build anew PC, might as well go with this CPU. (pointing to Wombat )

      More then the FSB and the cooler operating temperature, the CPU's huge cache is the real promising spec.
      I've owned hard drives with a similar size.
      If properly written and compiled, an average enterprise program should be able to execute when 95% of its memory access is intercepted by the cache.
      I can't wait till they slap those blessed things on my blades.
