  • 8800GT 512mb

a leaked review has shown up, performance is closer to the 8800GTX than it is the 8800GTS and HD2900XT/Pro. And at MSRP ~ $250 USD it should sell like hotcakes, either that or it will drop GTS/XT/Pro prices SIGNIFICANTLY.

Yeah, the 8800GT is looking like a really powerful card, lets just hope it has some headroom...its priced low enough to be the new reference, and a must have card for upgraders.

Well, I did buy a 8800GTS-640 awhile back.

Just got the Rivatuner 2.05 Installed properly, with the latest WHQL drivers.
Independant Shader Clocks. sweet, i love a new way to fry my card

Currently runs the crysis demo no probs for over a hour on MAX settings for XP (with the level 4 setting mod) in 1680x1050 at 20-ish fps.

          648/1728/900 core/shaders/memory (1800MHz DDR).
The stock cooler is set to 100% all the time. temps rise to 63C and fluctuate between 62 and 63.
Didn't want to push the memory more, cos it didnt like that at all...

Hm, I think something like this http://www.steampowered.com/status/survey.html should be the reference...

            (agree about upgraders of course)
