Wouldn't it have been cheaper and faster to build a new car in his garage starting from raw materials?

          Can you say obssessive compulsive?

Funny cause under his name it says PC Perfectionist.
I would say perfectionist through and through.

The car was clean enough for me before he even started.

the funny thing is he did all that detailing then took it down a dirt road to take pictures of it.

And what he didn't mention was that after those uncounted hours of painstaking detailing (that nobody but him noticed), is that 2 days later he totaled the car.

Just when he had finished the photo session, a pigeon flew overhead...

                    Definitely OCD.

I wonder how much he spent on products and hours of his time and kWh of energy!

I watched 3 guys in a supermarket carpark achieve a very simillar transformation on my car in about an hour this afternoon

Yeah, before I sold the Bimmer I did a similar transformation. Under $100 spent, and a total of about 4 hours. But I did the whole works - swirl-remover, buffing machine, etc.

I'm sure the guys at "Dr. Detail" can do what I did in an hour for less overhead since they do it all day.

                          I would still get screwed

Yeak but this guy said he spent Sundays and part Saturdays plus the odd evening, weather permitting, over, I think 4 months. I checked on just one of the products he used (a wax) and it worked out at €180 ($250) for a 200 g pot! OCD and more money (and time) than sense!

If that's true, it makes the story all that more amazing.
I mean I hope the guys OK and all, but that's awesome.
